Meet Dr. Joshua Dahlen, DC

Chiropractor Grand Forks, Dr. Josh DahlenAs a premature baby, Dr. Dahlen was taken to see the chiropractor after spending two weeks in an incubator at the hospital. His parents had been going to a chiropractor for years; whenever they went, Dr. Dahlen and his siblings went too! “I’ve seen a chiropractor for almost all of my life.”

While in high school, Dr. Dahlen struggled with his weight and got encouragement, including tips and tricks, from his chiropractor. Dr. Dahlen ended up losing about 75 pounds. Despite all the rigorous activity he put his body through, he didn’t have much pain thanks to chiropractic care.

Though he wanted to help people as he was assisted, Dr. Dahlen didn’t pursue chiropractic as a career right away. He first spent eight years working in fast food management, gaining considerable leadership experience.

Chiropractic Education & Experience

In 2019, Dr. Dahlen earned a Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. During two of his trimesters in chiropractic college, he worked for a clinic in St. Louis Park. Dr. Dahlen learned different ways to adjust patients. He also interned at Harbor Light Center in Minneapolis, providing free chiropractic care to homeless men and women.

The Path to ChiroRx Chiropractic & Wellness Care

While Dr. Dahlen attended an event that his chiropractic college was holding, Dr. Berg happened to be there. He was looking for students to bring on as interns or employees. After Dr. Dahlen talked with him for a while, Dr. Berg said, “I like you and would like you to come work for me.” Dr. Dahlen agreed, did his internship at ChiroRx Chiropractic & Wellness Care and Dr. Berg offered him a position on the team.

A Passion for Helping His Patients

Joyful and easy to talk to, Dr. Dahlen loves seeing patients get better. It’s fulfilling for him when they understand that their bodies can self-heal, and the pain they’re experiencing isn’t something they have to live with for the rest of their life. Dr. Dahlen also wants to help his patients on their path toward complete health, whatever that looks like for them.

He has various techniques in his toolbox and particularly likes helping those with extremity issues such as shoulder pain or knee pain.

Outside the Practice

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Dahlen enjoys working out at MAP Fitness, which is a way he can support a local business too. He particularly enjoys weightlifting. Dr. Dahlen also loves spending time with his rescue dog and his girlfriend, who lives in Minneapolis. Dr. Dahlen is also passionate about his relationship with the Lord and his faith in Jesus.
